Thai Kitchen

I’m a big fan of Thai food. The spices, the flavors are two big factors that make me appreciate it. A Thai restaurant, which I recently tried is Thai Kitchen.

I went with my mom, which made it even better. I got the Vegetarian #17 and she got the Indian Curry Fried Rice with Tofu. I really like the #17, it had the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. My mom really liked her dish too, she’s really picky when it comes to food, and she really likes her food spicy, so Thai Kitchen had the perfect combination for her.

We also got the dumplings, which I didn’t enjoy as much. I prefer the dumplings from Thai Noodle House, located just off of 26h street.

Both of these places deliver and offer the option of calling-in a to-go order. Thai Noodle House definitely has better dumplings, and an amazing peanut sauce.

Happy Hour

So, it’s almost Friday night and you’re trying to figure out the best place to go out and get the most for your money.

Study Breaks magazine promotes their own happy hours, everyday.

Here are some of the highlights:

Cuatros, a Mexican restaurant, located on 24th street, right off of the Drag serves up their happy hour from 3pm to close. They have $5 pitchers: Bud Lite, Coors Lite, Miller Lite, and Lone Star. They also have $2 Wells.

If you are underage, or not in a drinking mood, their menu offers a wide variety of food as well, with appetizers, burgers, tacos, salads and desserts.

If you’re looking for something a little closer, you’re in luck. Another place to look into near campus for HappyHour specials is Cain and Abels, which offers $3.50 JagerBombs and  H-Bombs from 7 pm- 11 pm. It also offers a full menu with food to satisfy your taste buds as well. Cain and Abels is also located on 24th street.

These are only two Happy Hours that are featured near campus. There is always Sixth street, where many of the clubs and bars have drink specials. Check out Study Breaks to check out all the specials, for everyday of the week.
